Marcelo feeling positive ahead of injury return

Real Madrid full-back Marcelo has returned to training but has refused to put a date on when he will be able to return to first team action for the club. The defender sustained a knee problem at the beginning of November which ended up keeping him out of Real’s 5-1 hammering of Real Sociedad the 5-0 victory against Almeria and Brazil’s friendlies against Honduras and Chile.

While Alvaro Arbeloa is a more than capable replacement for Marcelo, there is little doubt the club will be hoping to have their third captain back in the team as soon as possible. Marcelo has been a key member of this Real side since his arrival from Fluminese in 2007, and the 25-year old is desperate to get back to playing as soon as he can in order to help the club try and claw back Barcelona at the top of La Liga.

“There’s no fixed date but I’m training intensely and working hard to get back as soon as I can. I’m dying to get back to playing and helping the team. I have my mind set on recovering and getting back to giving the fans something to cheer.”

“Whenever we start a season we want to win everything that we are playing for and be very positive. Of course, we believe that this season will be a very good one,” admitted the Brazil international.

With much of the football betting already appearing to have this year’s La Liga title race sealed by Barcelona, there will be many Betfair customers rightly tempted to take a punt on Real to turn things around and make a charge after the winter break. Having a fully fit Marcelo could well be key to Real’s hopes of being ensuring Barcelona don’t run away with the title without any content.

Carlos – Marcelo is a True Leader

Former Real Madrid and Brazil defender, Roberto Carlos, has praised Marcelo and described him as a “leader” for both club and country.

Carlos played for Los Blancos between 1996 and 2007, winning three Champions Leagues and four La Liga titles with his attacking style of play and superb delivery from set pieces providing a new blueprint for left-backs at both the Bernabeu and for the Selecao.

Marcelo was signed as his replacement during his final season at the club and after some occasionally raw performances in his early days, is now a massive favourite amongst fans who bet on football due to his abrasive play and willingness to always give his all for the team.

His attributes have seen him made a vice-captain of the squad in recent years alongside fellow defender, Sergio Ramos and Pepe.

While after previously falling in and out of favour, he now seems to have finally established himself as a key part of the Brazil side ahead of next summer’s World Cup on home turf, a competition for which the Selecao are natural favourites in the football betting.

Carlos played for current coach,Luiz Felipe Scolari, when he guided the Canarinho to glory in Japan and Korea in 2002 and knows exactly what it takes to scale football’s biggest peak.

The Bullet Man admits he has been pleased by how well his protégé has developed into one of the world’s best and has praised his leadership abilities going into what looks set to be a massive year for both club and country.

“Marcelo is a leader in both Real Madrid and the selection and is demonstrating a high level in both places,” he said in an interview published by FIFA. “He is a player that has evolved very quickly.”

“Bale is a great player!”

Real Madrid’s left back spoke to the press and said that he is very pleased with Bale being his teammate, you can check will hill football betting odds if you plan to bet on the next match.

“Bale is a great player. I have played against him. I don’t know him really well, though. He’s more than welcome here if he ends up joining Madrid.”

“We are still in the process of getting to know the coach, but we all feel he’s a great guy. He is a born winner and has a lot of experience. I hope that he will help us win titles,” – said Marcelo for the spanish newspaper “AS”.

It is expected for Bale and Alonso to be readoy for the “El Clasico”, which is going to be played on Saturday, October 26th.

“We’re going to give our best to beat Valencia”

“I felt very happy when I took to the pitch after being injured at the Bernabéu, there was a little film running in my mind and I felt very excited.”

Real Madrid is going to play against Valencia tonight, at 21:30 on Mestalla. You can predict the result of this match on sports betting sites. In the first leg, Madrid won the bats with 2-0 at Santiago Bernabeu, in which Marcelo made a return, after his injury.

“Our opponent is strong and playing there is difficult, but we are confident because we are playing well. We always go all out to progress in every competition we play in.”
“We feel confident because we are playing well and hopefully we will progress. We will do everything we can to progress. We know that if we make any mistakes we could be out of the competition, so it is far more exciting” – said Marcelo for Bwin.

Marcelo has worked very hard to come back, as quickly as possible, to help out his team in the upcoming matches. Will Marcelo get a chance to play again against Valencia? That’s the question nobody can answer except Jose Mourinho.

In the first leg, Marcelo started the match, but was substituted for Fabio Coentrao at the start of the second half. He will probably get a chance in this game in the second half of the match, but noone can guarantee that.

“I’m the best left back in the world!”

The Brazilian shows that it’s important to have faith in his abilities, as he continues to recover from a nasty injury he got on Real Madrid’s training session.

24-year-old Marcelo said that he’s probably the best left back in the world, and we can all confirm that very easy. If you’re into soccer betting, you can bet on Real Madrid‘s next match.

“I think I am the best left-back in the world because I have to believe in myself, I have to think about myself and continue growing (as a football player). I felt my foot buckle, my legs were shaking but I did not think the injury was that bad.”

On the question who is his idol:

“Roberto Carlos is my idol, everybody knows that. Even today, when I talk to him I get nervous. He was always the best.” – said Marcelo for Globoesporte.

Our sources are telling us that Marcelo should probably be back in January. That means he should be ready for big matches, in Champions league as well as for La Liga and Copa del Rey.

Real Madrid will face Manchester United in the 1/8 finals of CL. If they manage to beat Celta de Vigo in the Copa del Rey 1/8 finals at home, they will face FC Barcelona three times in a row besides matches agains’t Man UTD because of the La Liga. What is the most interesting is that the schedule will be like this – Barcelona, Man Utd, Barcelona, Man Utd, Barcelona.

Marcelo will for sure be needed in those matches, and will be important player for Jose Mourinho’s team.
