Vasquez says Real will always be a top club

Real Madrid have parted with a huge star this summer, but there is still plenty of quality on the team and they are quite optimistic. Los Blancos stunned the world of football when confirming the €112 million sale of the five-time Ballon d’Or winner to Italy. New coach Julen Lopetegui now finds himself without the help and services of the club’s all-time leading goalscorer and an undescribable presence in the dressing room.

Galacticos have retained the likes of Gareth Bale and Toni Kroos and proved in a  International Champions Cup victory over Juventus that they still have plenty of power and motivation. Predicting Real Madrid’s upcoming matches can be quite amusing, but so can other things. Make sure you stop by, where the pleasure and fun of casino’s is made much cheaper and easier to reach. Los Merengues will be facing Roma on Wednesday at the MetLife Stadium.

After an impressive game without Ronaldo, Marcelo’s teammate, Lucas Vasquez, said to the media: “We have a great squad who are shaping up well for the new season. All the players at this club are at an extremely high level and we are enjoying a strong pre-season, the training is very good.” My own place in the team? It is up to every player to give their maximum and to convince the coach, who then has decision to make. For me it was great to be captain for a few minutes, for someone to have come through the youth system here and to be entrusted in that way is an honour.”

The Spaniard could see even more minutes if Luka Modri? ends up leaving Real Madrid as well, with the Croatian playmaker being heavily linked with a transfer to Inter, but the 27-year-old is expecting his iconic team-mate to stay. He said: “We are calm and counting on him. We hope he returns to enjoy Madrid. I have no doubt he will stay… well, you never know in football, but I think that Luka is a Madrid player and will continue to be so. It’s how I feel. I’m not in his head, but I am sure that he wants to continue. We won’t get worked up.” Real have only two “pre-season” games left before opening their 2018-19 La Liga campaign, with Roma providing their opposing side on Wednesday before Lopetegui’s team goes in search of another trophy against old rivals Atletico in the UEFA Super Cup.
